July 17, 2013: What do you do with your old gadgets? Ideally, you would be able to bring them back to the store where you bought them and drop them off to be recycled but as a new report card shows, there aren’t very many retailers in the nation that make that possible or convenient.
This year we expanded our report card from televisions (graded in 2008 and 2009) to include computer, printer and game console companies. Criteria include “Are products being recycled responsibly (not exported)?” and “What are the companies doing to promote reuse and closed loop recycling?” Find out how your electronics measure up!
